Residential & Retail Plans Move Forward during Pandemic

Oklahoma, OK-based William D. Jones, MD, is a preventive medicine and occupational physician who has worked in private practice for more than 24 years. Like many in the Oklahoma City, OK community, William D. Jones, MD, is grappling with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

One bright spot, though, is that the Oklahoma City Urban Renewal Authority still has plans to move forward with selecting a developer for the Alley’s End project that was proposed earlier this year. The project will culminate in a mixed-use project comprised of retail and residential space located NW 4th and E.K. Gaylord.

As of March, the Urban Renewal Authority was set to name Rose Rock as the developer for this project. The developer’s proposal consists of a plan to construct residential space as a part of a sustainable artist’s community. When completed, 278 apartments will include both affordable and market rate units.

The plan also includes “three five-story mixed-use buildings” that will be constructed around a garage and alleys. These areas would wind around retail spaces and micro-storefronts that cater to artists and feature public art.
