You've probably heard the saying: "You're what you eat." In fact, today you can look at it a step higher: "You are what you consume." Every day we consume not only thousands of kilos of food, objects, equipment but also information. Some of it is useful, some is not. One of the central themes of this photo series is conscious consumption, both directly and indirectly. We are increasingly in a more toxic environment, which affects us both inside and out. The only way to "get over the poison" is to be aware and make informed decisions and actions accordingly. What and how we consume also largely determines the direction of our lives - both in private life and as a society. We need to understand that there is power in our way of consumption. It lies in our words, actions, and thoughts.

Based on the "Poisoned World" series, we address three different situations: the media, pollution and an epidemic, in which we describe how they can be a toxic environment. At the heart of each series is a character who faces the situation and has discovered that our actions, words and also thoughts have power. We have approached each series from a different angle - both stylistically and in terms of story. We tested different solutions in the salon, studio shooting and post-editing.

Vol 3: Epidemic

The central theme of the "Poisoned World: Epidemic" photo series is that fear is no joke. It can, like an epidemic, take us over if we let it. One of the biggest obstacles to life and development is fear and dread. Nevertheless, we cannot say that "fear is meaningless". Inadvertently, it can prevent us from the worst - it will help us protect ourselves. It will be a part of us forever.

Our thoughts have power, depending on how we use it. In order to be stronger than our fears, we need to get to know them. Just as top athletes, chess masters and business geniuses learn about the ranks and strategies of their competitors, we need to understand our fears. The most important thing is that we will not be trapped in fear forever, because otherwise it will take away all our strength and soul. Fear seems to suddenly break behind us, secretly entering our bodies and imprisoning the soul, making us powerless. A person is a victim only if she allows herselft to be a victim.

The character at the center of the picture is confronted with herself and her fears. Trying to understand herself and her fears, she breaks away from what limits her and takes only what is truly necessary. We cannot allow fear to control or consume. We must be careful in life, however consciously. Is the fear we feel really a threat or an imagination? We must have the courage to be brave.
