I suppose I'm kinda a rare bird. I snuck out of college with a journalism degree, which lead to some really nice work in agency PR. I managed teams and budgets for several years. Wrote marketing plans. Developed brand identities. Helped launch companies. Wore a tie.
Then I discovered the autonomy of outside sales for a Fortune 500 company. Busted my ass and busted some quotas. Got some awards and won the boondoggle trips.
Financially, I was killing it. But none of that was fulfilling or creative enough.
I've been making images for decades, well before my father & I built a darkroom in my childhood home. I was the photo editor of my high school yearbook and nearly graduated from college with a photography degree.
I've always gotten the biggest highs from how people react to my work. And I'm lucky to have come full circle and finally making a living doing what I really enjoy.
