I’m a Glasgow-based graphic designer with a wealth of top level experience – over 16 years to be exact – delivering engaging and inspiring creative solutions to communicate with audiences and drive fresh and sustained interest back to companies and brands.

I create big, innovative ideas that work across all channels and sectors – whether that be print, motion, digital, or beyond. I’ve been doing it all my life; taking an idea apart, sticking it back together again, and seeing if I could make it better.

Fundamentally, I remain at heart a passionate and driven designer of fully realised visual identity systems – one that thrives on the challenge of creating unique and striking solutions that successfully alter the perception of a business, platform or product and get them noticed where it matters most. It’s the creation of a versatile, yet consistent design framework that enables brands to speak to audiences in highly effective ways.

I’m adept and hugely experienced at working quickly and confidently from first concepts through to final delivery. Strategic, original thinking is central to everything I do, whether that’s working individually to a tightly focused brief or in tandem with an agency in a fast-paced environment across a multi-faceted design project.

I especially thrive on working in tight-knit teams to produce the strongest possible concepts that stand out from the pack. I’m also an assured project leader, capable of steering a team’s ideas and diverse personalities towards a fully conceptualised, living, breathing design solution.

I have worked with award-winning creative studios including Lambie-Nairn, Dunning Penney Jones and Moving Brands. In doing so, I have worked for names such as BT, Diageo, UEFA, Panasonic, Renault, Sky, O2, Al Jazeera, ITV, GSK and Rolls-Royce, always delivering a high standard of work that has broad and enduring appeal. Moving Brands is an independent, global creative company. They partner with established and emerging businesses to design and transform their brands for the moving world.

I had the pleasure of working with the talented Moving Brands team to offer a creative lead on a

brand refresh of Sport 24, the world’s first ever LIVE global sports channel for the Airline and Ship

at Sea industry. The project was to create a new identity for the channel for use on- and off-air.

This included the design for a variety of animated and printed assets along with a comprehensive guidelines package.



I also provided a creative lead across a number of identity projects for Syngenta, a world-leading
agri-business committed to sustainable agriculture through innovative research and technology. I created two new product brands, and developed a comms vehicle for the European product launch of their Elatus brand.

I worked with the team at NPTV on a variety of their pioneering multi-platform UX/UI projects. I provided a creative lead and offered strong strategic vision across a variety of projects including interactive set design, broadcast UI design as well as their own brand refresh developed for use across multiple platforms on- and off-screen.

Lambie-Nairn is an award winning international branding agency that is part of the WPP Group. It has a proven track record of bringing brands to life with clients including Channel 4, BBC and O2. As a Senior Designer I take a creative lead across a broad range of projects covering branding and motion graphics.

• Currently working with Al Jazeera on an ongoing brand project for their English, Balkan and Turkish news channels.

• Designed and oversaw production of UEFA’s EURO 2012 broadcast package including titles and match graphics.

• Designed a system of icons and interfaces for Panasonic across their range of smart phones, tablets and smart TVs.

• Designed and managed production of the animated OSP system for Renault TV.

• Developed a set of animated logo stings, OSP system and news package for the Baynounah channel in Abu Dhabi.

• Designed the logo for ITV’s online game, Corrie Nation to commemorate Coronation Street’s 40th anniversary.

• Manage the mentoring programme for interns, training and tutoring them for consideration for full-time employment.

• I also remain closely invloved with D&AD and have been a member of the judging panel of their student awards.

Dunning Penney Jones is an independent creative agency specialising in three areas; broadcast design/branding, corporate identity and design for non-linear on demand tv services. While at DPJ I was the creative lead on a number of projects such as Bauer Media, Diageo Classic Malts, UKTV, Serie Club (owned by French broadcasters TF1 and M6) and the History Chanel while providng support on projects for Sky Movies, Sony, and BT.

• Designed and directed a studio shoot of 8 idents for Serie Club as well as directing production of the OSP. Wrote and developed the guidelines to support the on-air and off-air offering.

• Helped reform the image of the History Channel by designing a series of idents
for The History Channel and its counterpart, Military History. Adapted and upgraded the existing US OSP system using After Effects to make it appropriate for the
English market.

• Created the corporate design system for the Diageo’s Classic Malts range to communicate their new strategy and support their marketing initiatives.

• Developed a visual identiy and brand property to extend Bauer Media’s
existing logotype.

• Planned and developed the user interface for Swisscom’s IPTV Service.

• Designed and oversaw production of a number of UKTV Gold programme-package initiatives such as The Big Night In, Happy Hour and New Arrivals.

• Worked on the structure, design and implementation of the Sky Movies
OSP system.

• Designed an animated presentation for Rolls-Royce to use in sales presentations to airlines.

• Designed the packaging for a magnum sized bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label for Diageo’s Duty Free division.

• Redesigned the packaging for Crown Royal Special Reserve, one of the top selling spirit brands in the US.

Having won a D&AD student pencil I went on to win a WPP bursary and work placement. I chose Lambie-Nairn from a number of WPP agencies and went on to become a full time member of the team.

• Redesigned D&AD’s Newblood website, an online collection of all the best new graduate talent.

• Designed a branded folder of on-air guidelines for the Discovery Kids channel.

• Designed channel idents for TViQ, part of the Astro Satellite Broadcast Network
in Malaysia.

• Supported the creative team on variety of projects for O2
