4 Dams Country Park
A Park for All
Visual identity
As part of a joint development plan by East Renfrewshire Council and Glasgow City Council, I created a new visual identity for the much loved, but often overlooked, Dams to Darnley Country Park. The park is made up of a patchwork of woodland, grassland, open water, wetland and farmland. Rich in history, geology and wildlife, with a series of Ranger led events and activities throughout the year, the area has much to offer, not least of all the beauty of its interconnected reservoirs. As part of the Glasgow City Region Deal, future plans focussed on the creation of new visitor facilities and recreational opportunities.
The aim of the refresh was to build a greater awareness of everything the park has to offer whist also pushing the focus towards future opportunities and the untapped potential of this strikingly beautiful and important site. The core concept built upon the park's rich patchwork of features and attractions, all centred around water as the key element.
I undertook this work whilst working as Head of Design with the talented team at Wire Media.
