Ibrahim El-Hibri Campus Benefits Lebanese Youth

Emergent Biosolutions Inc. founder and executive chairman Fuad El-Hibri is a dedicated philanthropist, promoting international peace and cultural understanding through the El-Hibri Foundation. Working to spread the values of peace and social justice, Fuad El-Hibri and his Washington, D.C.-based charitable organization sponsor many programs to benefit children in America and abroad.

In 2012, the Foundation worked with the Social Welfare Institutions of Lebanon - Dar al Aytam to establish the Ibrahim El-Hibri Campus. Serving as an orphanage and education center for unprivileged youth in Lebanon, the campus provides food, housing, health care, and academic instruction to more than 800 children. The campus encompasses several buildings constructed using sustainable architecture, including an auditorium, dormitories, and classrooms.

The campus was named in honor of Fuad El-Hibri’s father, Ibrahim, and his dedication to helping children from less-fortunate backgrounds. At the dedication ceremony, more than 300 guests gathered to tour the campus and hear remarks from public officials, including Civil Service Board president Dr. Khaled Kabbani and Wael Abou Faour, the minister of social affairs.
