    "link to the past"

    Hello , Behancers!
    Here is
the next part of my project Koopa Classic Party .
Once I published the first part,  last year, I finally realized that I had very little explored opportunities offered by the combination of traditional painting with the surrealistic world of mario. So I decided to work deeply this experience by re-visiting , one more time,  some of my favorite paintings in Art history.
My personal museum dedicated to the glory of the famous plumber is enriched by 8 new drawings .
These designs are still made in pencil and then colorized with photoshop cs4 and a  Wacom bamboo on the same 8 colors, mostly with hatching and frame point, without gradients.
Turtles are again in unexpected situations ,they are in classic attitudes and that really  make me laugh....Just  because it is stupid.
It's strange but it's a bit like what I imagined the Mario's adventures when I was a kid.
I also remember that I associated "legend" of ridley scott to Zelda , hahaha!
Through these few pixels I imagined the heroes much more realistics than as we can see them today.
It is natural to wonder about the role of
our childhood  heroes in the contemporary Culture.
History of superhero begins in the 30s and through several generations, we can not deny their
cultural significance .We can even say that it is a modern  mythology.
    T
he gigantic universe built by nintendo did he not also had a similar impact on our generation and the next?
I define myself as a " kidult"and i'm sure that a lot of behancers share the same feeling so i hope you will enjoy this project as much  as i enjoyed doing it .
    =)
