YLINC - Youth Portal
Interactive Educational Gaming
YLINC is a pilot program conceived and created by The Centre for Education and Training (TCET). The idea was to disseminate real world skills to newcomer youth in Canada. The project was pitched to Citizenship and Immigration Canada and received funding.

The initial challenge was condensing vast amounts of text into a format that would be easy to absorb while still being engaging. With the intended target audience being between the ages of 13 and 25, we approached this project with the intent of creating an interactive "choose your own adventure" game.

I created over 350 illustrations in the form of an interactive comic book. An example of real world scenarios encountered in the game include, settlement services, ESL, Enrolling in university, signing up for credit cards, healthcare and shopping.

The project was a huge success with the materials used across Canada and translated into several print and digital mediums.

Responsibilities: Illustration, Art Direction and Graphic Design.
