When Light and Happiness Meet

i Light Marina Bay is Asia’s only sustainable light art festival that showcases innovative content, the intelligent use of lighting as well as an international line-up of creative talents. Themed Light+heART, the festival this year features 28 innovative and environmentally sustainable light art installations from around the world. The Marina Bay waterfront will be transformed into a magical space of light and colour for the public to celebrate both public spaces and creativity.

To promote an environmentally-responsible behaviour for a sustainable future, the participating artists have incorporated the use of recyclable materials and adopted energy-efficient lighting technologies in the creation of their stunning light art installations. Every aspect of the festival will adopt a more effective and efficient management of resources to meet this commitment to the environment.

A full array of events, programmes and fun activities have been lined up from 7 to 30 March 2014 to create a dazzling, diverse and more enriching experience for the community. From free guided tours and entertaining performances, outdoor dining to educational talks and workshops, this festival will strive to build on the achievements of the previous festivals to bring you an even more enjoyable experience.
In conjunction with my self directed project which circles around light, happiness and design, I came to the festival and observed that light, in fact, does contribute to people's psychology and mood. Light gathers people, excites them with its luminence and colors, also affects their mood.

These are compilation of footages taken at i Light Marina Bay 2014 at Marina Bay and The Float, Singapore.

I recorded the entire videos, also edited the sound, footage, and stitch it back together into a video.
