Power Loader Operation & Maintenance Manual
I am a huge sci-fi nerd, and I love robots. Of course, I consider the Power Loader vehicle from the Aliens saga to be one of the finest pieces of mechanical design ever created, and I wanted to make a little tribute in the shape of a film prop.
I came up with the idea of creating a user manual for the machine. I wanted to keep it realistic, so I did some research and developed it step-by-step.
Firstly, I collected some reference pictures
and painstakingly recreated the Power Loader in vector.
Line art plus fill colors.
Then I made an slightly altered vector version
of the "official" Caterpillar logo from the Aliens universe.
Aimed for a industrial/NASA look, in line with the Caterpillar
manuals of the 70s, and added some texture...
And voilá!
