Ideas competition for the new parish church of San Nicolò a Trebbia, Italy.

The design of a new church, of its tectonics and shapes, is not only a matter of expressivity and aesthetics, but also an important social and civic challenging task.
The intervention area is the buffer zone between the compact urban fabric and the new neighbourhoods, thus the necessity to design a highly quality space is a primary aim in order to achieve the creation of a strong sense of identity. Consequently, the project is not only concerning the built masses, but also the network of relations among external spaces and the existing green passageways, with the intent of integration and enhancement of these.
