LANDCARPET Hong Kong
Hong Kong is a special one-off piece and will remain a unique piece going on auction at Europe's oldest auction house Dorotheum in the upcoming Design auction in November. It shows Asia's notoriously dense city and the area represented is Victoria harbour and its adjacent China Mainland and Hong Kong island districts.

LANDCARPET is a modern area rug series, inspired by nature and farmed landscapes. It shows the world from straight above, as we usually see it only out of the window of a plane.
Based on satellite images LANDCARPET is a captured fascinating aerial view to touch. The stylized fields are of different height and let each rug appear like a miniaturized landscape transforimng a rug into a piece of nature in your apartment.
As each culture deals with landscape and farming in a different way LANDCARPET comes in various series, each of them representing a different continent or country. Europe is held in warm green and brown colors, USA comes in very fresh green colors, Africa in a series of earthen tones and Netherlands as a colorful array of flower fields. Italy, a unique piece added purple and yellow tones showing Toscany in fall.
