VW - Guangzhou Media Night - Design Concept

The VW Guangzhou Media Night Stage design is built in a such a way as to best enable individual, flexible and exciting presentations of the many and diverse brands of Volkswagen group.

For the first part of the event a 450m2 part of the stage is dedicated to selected guests. Offering seating capacity for 500 pax it sits directly under the excitingly overhanging bend of the elevated race track. Because of the confines of the space the feeling is equally intimate and exclusive. The positioning close to car entrance 1 further facilitates easy presentation of one car of each brand and quick removal of temporary furniture after the key speech and car presentation. A movable split screen hides the cars and poses as background for the speaker. The select audience is screened off from the rest of the stage by semi-transparent movable screens in order to focus on the presentation and to keep the wow-effect of the full stage design for event part 2.

The second part of the event will make full use of the impressive stage design and all its elements and flexible components. A massive 59x19m fabric screen acts as backwall for the stage and will be used for media projections. It also acts as back of house and features a hidden ramp that connects the ground floor car parcour and the elevated racing track. This track is the most outstanding feature of the stage and will enable a very dynamic and action-packed car show. It is elevated 6m from the floor and together with the rest of the parcour forms a continuous loop that will enable a multitude of cars to drive or race the track at the same time and in many configurations. 

Three 35x5m movable LED screens are suspended from the roof and sit between the backwall and the racetrack. They can be programmed to different arrangements and will make animations more exciting. An additional 360m2 LED screen is placed in a bend of the elevated race track, also supsended from the ceiling.
In the foreground two stages are dedicated to dance performances while cars will be displayed on four turning stages underneath four suspended LED boxes.

The materials and colors of the stage and its elements are elegant, modern and simple to form a professional but subtle background. The arrangement possibilities of the many LED screens are plenty in order to offer highest flexibility for brand introduction.
