Cola is a bit different than the rest of the gang. She's a fluid, sparkling shapeshifter and a result of a very successful experiment carried out by the rest of Bonko characters. Since she's so different than the rest of them we thought it would be a proper introduction to tell a story of how she was created while the product was hitting the shelves. In a fun game of chance and creativity in Bonko Lab, all the characters get together and accidentally create a new flavor that burps out candies. There's hardly bigger joy for them.

Below is a short test we did while exploring different types of movement and physical properties of Cola character.
Previs was done in Maya. The workflow was somewhat complicated: characters were modeled in Modo, animation was done in Cinema 4d and then imported in Maya via alembic. Lighting and camera movement were done in Maya. Rendered in Maxwell Render. A lot of bugs were discovered and bunch of lessons learned.
