Helmet Hair - published in Nu-Mode Magazine
As an art director I am inspired by beauty and strength and the unexpected visual juxtaposition of these two elements. I'm also inspired by historical style references and how they translate into modern looks.
"Helmet Hair" is a story that revolves around hairstyles inspired by helmets and masks from antiquity... some created with the model's own very long hair only, and some with hair pieces augmenting the model's hair.

Sketches from my book for "helmet" ideas.
Some of my testing, using wigs, so I would know how to create the looks on the day of the shoot. All of the looks used the model's own long black hair, some with hair pieces incorporated, some just with the model's hair.
