Creative Machining - Identity Design and Brochure

Creative Machining is a new small engineering company offering high spec cnc machining to other small business and individuals. In New Zealand the combination of experience and skill they offer is usally only found in larger companies that are set up to do runs of several thousand. Creative Engineering are offering an affordable solution for craftspeople, hobbyists, inventors and small business that only need small runs or one off prototypes. They wanted their branding to express technical expertise and innovation as well as being friendly and approachable. Initially they were keen for a pictorial element to their logo but after discussion agreed a clean and modern look was more appropriate. They are very happy with the final solution which incorporates the company initials of CM as well as the profile of a milling machine in the negative space.
Creative Machining also asked me to design a booklet to introduce themselves to potential clients. I wanted the booklet to have a craftsmanlike feel to express their friendly and approachable manner and the attention they can give to individual projects. However it also needed highlight their technical expertise and avoid looking at all rustic. I also took all the photographs and wrote the copy for this project.
The internal pages, outlining 'what we do' are of a smaller size, creating a booklet within a booklet.
The back cover features a tear off business card.
