Bus
Bus was a year long project documenting Ireland's only Mobile Health Clinic providing primary health care (GP) to the homeless, street prostitution, drug users and HIV+ people. It is one of three such buses in Europe and is independently funded. The doctors staff the bus pro-bono after normal surgery hours, Topaz petrol stations donate the fuel and Coldchain has provided the bus heating unit. The bus is facilitated by four stakeholders Safety Net, The Simon Community, Chrysalis and the Order of Malta. Without their support neither the bus or this project would exist.

The project explores health as a basic human right which should be available to all and questions the traditional doctor - marginalised patient relationship.

The images are untitled. When I first showed the images to friends sometimes they were not too sure who was the client and who was the service provider. I think that ambiguity should remain.
If you have made it this far and support what the bus is trying to achieve please consider sharing this page's URL through social media. Many thanks, Hugh
