The exhibition takes its title from a Upton Sinclair short story so we looked to vintage paperback novels for typographic cues. These were married with gestures from academic journals and mid-century exhibition catalogs, 2 recurring touchpoints.
The book is divided into 2 sections— an ”exhibition” of 5 pages of work by each artist printed on a light blue stock and “context”, an interview with the curators and artists biographies that uses black ink on a cream linen paper.
Each artist’s work is laid out organically without a grid  in an attempt to give each work its own identity.
Paper stock change as the content transitions from art to editorial.
The backcover references academic journals where the contents are often displayed on the cover.
