"The Identical" Pre-visualization

The Identical (2014) is a story about twin brothers who are raised separately by different families. Both brothers are born with passion and exceptional musical talent, but take very separate, yet converging paths. The film is a captivating journey that spans five decades, beginning in the 1930s—through be-bop era of the 1950s—and the rock and roll glam of the 1970s.

(above) I created this retro-inspired be-bop album artwork using a provided actor image and photoshop. After looking at examples of albums from the era for inspiration, I used vintage colors and font-styles as well as retro filters on the photo to create an authentic-looking cover.
