Start4Life - PHE /NHS ECRM
Task: Design a new pregnancy look and feel for an email programme for pregnant mums to be, for Start4Life, a service supported by the NHS. They provide expert support and advice with the warm care of midwives and health visitors, all with no marketing. It needed a rethink as there was no branding to the existing emails, tiny images, no header image, clinical feeling with generic colours, and way too long. Below is the initial proposal design work I did for the project.

Starting point was PHE's bright colour palette, toned down to a softer range. Simple llustration styles, and headlines created using PHE Change4Life typeface, offset where needed.
Images to be less staged, more realistic, and reflecting more diversity.
Weekly countdown images to accompany the information relevant to each pregnancy stage.
Positive encouraging messages of support, throughout the pregnancy journey.
An 'NHS Experts' module that follows their day-to-day, stories, advice and encouragement. Also countdowns towards the due date, for example sunshine hours.
