The three lives of packaging.
Packaging is the cornerstone of any mid-autumn mooncake gift set. As such, our challenge this year was to consider the three lives of packaging – before, during and after use, and to maximise its efficiency and effectiveness in each phase through design.
The result was a PU leather bag, made from a single piece of material with no stitching involved. This format allows the bag to be stored flat when in transit and storage, only assembled when necessary and to be distributed without the need for any further secondary packaging. The bag also doubles up as an everyday lunch carrier that can be used after the mooncakes are removed.
