For this project we had to create a double page spread that would include an image of ourselves or one of our peers saying a speech bubble. We would have to consider the text and also the placement of it in comparison to the image. We would also have to think of a layout that could be beneficial for the purpose of the brief for the workshop and would also have to consider the colour schemes.
For this design I wanted to make the text look like it is being shouted out of the mouth. I made the image a stencil image by adding thresholds to the image. Doing this linked in with my Unit 08 as I'm focusing on graffiti. I also thought about the colour schemes and ones that would work. I wanted to have a bright and joyful colour as the text of 'Hey Bud' is happy and welcoming.
This is the layout that I used for creating the double page spread. I used a 3x3 grid on each page and I had to think about the positioning of the image and how many squares I wanted to fill. I also had to consider how many squares the moving wave of text would go.
