Pyxis is an experimental display typeface designed and developed by Studio—io. It started its life as an exploration into deconstructed letter forms for a series of typographic posters. What began as a loose collection of letters quickly became a full character set and eventually ultra and black weights added. Utilising sharp geometric forms and repetition to create each character, Pyxis pushes the limits of legibility whilst maintaining a sense of play, irreverence and oddness.
