"Travels are a constant in my life and in my work. My photographic body of work is oriented to explore and register the diverse people and scenes that I witness around the world. One of the specific thematic that I have explored are the horizons both as a geographic space and symbolic element in the visual language.
Horizon, from the Greek “orizonta” (to limit), is the apparent line that divides earth from sky. It also represents the frontier between the corporeal of the ground and the oneiric of the sky: dreams and reality linked by an imaginary line. In my psyche, the horizon is tied to the travels as an infinite pursuit of odds.
Before a horizon, a human being draws an imaginary path made out of time. This is why the visual construction of these images has the aim to lead the spectator in a reflection around horizon as a metaphor of its individual longings and quests. It is an invitation to experiment the infinite route that defy our senses and takes us beyond the imaginary line that with much yearning wish to overpass.
