Canvas Bar

I was invited by Bombay Sapphire to be part of their new Canvas Bar Event, part of their Stir Creativity campaign focused on connecting the brand with the creative process. 15 international artists were commissioned to transform a blank room into a living piece of art during the 5 day event in London´s Shoreditch. The audience was invited to be part of this live transformation while having a cocktail watching how the artworks were developed through the days.

Across the week I deconstructed the Canvas Hero Cocktails created by leading mixologists form the Bombay Sapphire Glasshouse Project. The attendees were able to see the whole process while I was working to shoot the images.

Taking the botanicals as a starting point I created a series of sculpture like compositions playing with the ingredients and garnish of each of the cocktails that were being served during the event.

I used fake ice as a structure and captured the movement of the liquid falling that represented the gin with high speed photography.

Bombay Sapphire infused botanicals:

Liquorice, Coriander, Lemon Peel,Almonds, Cinamon, Grains of Paradise and Juniper Berries.
