After working with Dot Graphics a few times for some printing projects, the LA-based printing company came to Version-X for some help with their overall company image and design. We were asked to create a self-shipping marketing package and display system that would showcase the different kinds of media, inks, varnishes and finishing techniques that the company offered. The package consists of two brochures, which are filled to the brim with special effects including embossing, die cut, spot UV, foil stamps, drilling and more. The brochures are held securely by a printed gatefold board tray, which features the vibrant red shade that serves as the company's primary color. All of these are contained inside a specially designed corrugated box, which is wrapped in a simple pattern, printed on holographic foil paper. Ink and masks were used strategically to provide a unique and eye-catching design, which reflects light in all colors. The box makes a strong impression when it's shipped to new or returning customers and when the kit is opened, they're treated to fresh new ideas that showcase just what Dot can really do.
