We would like to wish all our clients a
Merry Christmas & Prosperous New Year.
This year has been a blast with a lot of challenges and learnings that have allowed us
to grow and improve as an agency. Thank you for your trust and continued support.
We look forward to all the creative problems that come our way in 2013.
Started off with a bit of modelling and experimenting with loft nurbs to create the tops of these Christmas baubles.
Came across this cracking tutorial from Nick of Greyscalegorilla and decided this is where the Christmas baubles should be used to make a nice, festive animation to celebrate this time of year.
A finished still after motion blur and lens flares were added to add polish and festive cheer.
This final render of 440 frames took a whopping 50 hours. I had to reduce the resolution down from 1280 pixels in with to 1024 to get it completed this side of Christmas. The small red bauble at the bottom right of this animation also went rouge and I had to clone it out of 385 frames as it crawled its way up and down the right hand edge for the entire animation.
The final frost effect and falling snow were added in After Effects using 2 textures with colour modes and opacity, the snow was created using Particular in a masked layer. I am very proud of this animation, it sums up all that I have learned in C4D and After Effects this year, I hope you like it. S
