Game Design
Jungle Books was one of the biggest games I've ever worked on as Art Director, and one of the biggest games we produced at Yggdrasil Gaming. This game introduces a ground-breaking new mechanic, Fusion Realms, which seamlessly mixes many different reel structures and features into a single game.
We created a huge amount of concept art for this game, and we worked on many character designs for each character. I started working on a few designs of my own (below), and eventually handed the character design duties to our talented art team, who did such an amazing job on this project.
I did not want to make a game with typical fruit symbols, like apples, oranges etc, so we created some jungle fruits of our own :-)
Each one of our five characters had his own environment. During the game, you can seamlessly switch between realms.
The game starts off in the Realm of our little hero. Each character is associated with two features, and when another character joins the realm, he can bring one of his own features into your realm, so the possible combinations is really exciting.
