Brief
To design and build a mock up house display and product podiums for Karcher cleaning products. The house will form the centre piece of the Karcher exhibition stand, which will be featured on THIS MORNING LIVE show held at the Birmingham NEC. The house must feature X4 LCD TV screens two on each side, forming the windows of the house on which demonstration videos of Karchers new product range will be shown. A full size wooden door must be incorporated on each side of the house, to help the Karcher sales team demonstrate the products to visitors to the stand.

Execution
Due to the exhibition stand only being required for two days, we decided that the main structure of the house would be constructed from a 16mm thick honeycomb cardboard material, which would provide the strength and rigidity required and at the same time could be recycled after the show had finished. A simple strong structural design was created, which would provide the required durability and appearance while still allowing it to be installed efficiently.

Reaction
The initial reaction from the Karcher marketing team was that they could immediately see the impact and interest that the house and exhibition stand was creating from the other exhibition stand representatives and installation teams. They were amazed at how solid the structure of the house was, constructed from cardboard rather than a wooden structure. Using cardboard rather than wood dramatically reduced the manufacturing and installation costs, which allowed Karcher to recieve the quality and look they required at a fraction of the cost of a more permanent wooden clad structure. The Karcher marketing team were confident that the house would attract people onto the Karcher exhibition stand. Feedback after the event confirmed that the exhibition stand, especially the house attracted many visitors to the stand, encouraging them to try out Karcher's new product range.
