Saman (the dance of thosand hands) is one of the most popular dances from Indonesia, origin from the Gayo ethnic group in Aceh, which normally performed to celebrate important occasions.Characterized by its fast-paced rhythm and common harmony between dancers, it is widely known, easy to learn and practiced. To spread Indonesian culture in Sweden, Indonesian Students Association in Stockholm (PPI Stockholm) develop Saman as new programme. The visual identity is inspired by the rhythm and harmony itself, traditionally calligraphed, then combined with Scandinavian typography. Indonesian and Swedish national colours perfectly suit the visual, by giving festival atmosphere.
