My biggest resolution for 2017 was this project. I started it on December 31, 2016, as a way to find my own voice as an illustrator.

After a few weeks doing a small doodle every day, I became frustrated. I didn't have the time to achieve anything decent by starting over every morning. So, I decided to spend more time on each drawing. I came to accept that, to me, it is more about the small periods of sketching I can squeeze on my daily routine... on the train, while my kid does homework or while my husband and I listen to music together.

Three months have passed by and I have only made five drawings. Yet, It feels good. I know that I have a long way to go, but I'm feeling that I'm getting something positive out of this experience. Heck, I'm starting to believe that even the photographs of my drawings are getting a bit better. Aren't they?
