On April 2016, Sebastían González and Laura Flórez co founders of Befolk studio, came to me asking for a set design and photography proposal for their notebooks brand called The Red Fox. They liked our previous works and wanted our collaboration for the instagram brand feed. We really cared about the situations we imagined. We put a lot of effort in the craft making process and finally enjoyed a lot taking the photos.
BTW all the shots we're made with natural sun light :)
From the beginning Sebastian and Laura wanted the paper to be the principal material surrounding the products. We started showing them a list of ideas to accomplish the whole project dividing the notebooks in three main groups.
Food, nature and human activities. These organization of the content allowed us to create props using different techniques: Paper sculpting, cutting and the inclusion of small toys and scale props.
From the beginning Laura and Sebastian were fully suited up. They provided to us a lot of digital material to develop some of the scenarios, and even constructed some digital assets that we ended up commending them in order to achieve the project deadline.
It was a tremendous but great project. Having the opportunity to have fun planning and constructing all of these small scenarios while working for such talented and great people as Befolk dudes was the bomb!
Final results showed how much fun we had!!!
