Hand Garden Tools Project
This project brief was to design a range of hand garden tools such as a spade, fork, scoop etc. I chose Bamboo as my material for its environmental sustainability. Not only is the finished product highly desirable for its biodegradability at its end of life cycle but bamboo is rapidly renewable/ strong and reduces carbon in the environment. I chose the simplest method of making the desired tools by heat bending a single continued piece of bamboo to form a handle and a few extruded cuts to end up with the desired tools. This makes it a low cost and low environmental impact product that will help your garden in more ways than one.
