INK Publishing
During 2008-2009 I moved to Singapore to work for INK Publishing; a contract publisher that specialised in in-flight travel magazines. I was the art director on Jetstar Australia Magazine for 10 issues, before working concurrently on Jetstar Asia Magazine and Tiger Tales on alternate months.

This was a vital period in my career. Two main factors contributed to my development as a graphic designer, the first was being surrounded by a group of similarly young, hungry art directors. This resulted in a friendly rivalry between us, where with each new issue we'd be constantly try to one-up each other. The second factor was when I discovered Scott Dadich's Wired. This was a magazine that opened my mind to just what you could do with the printed page. It was a magazine that made me want to become better. It was at this time that I started experimenting with headlines (see "Sheer Excitement") and sure, it wasn't the most cutting edge typographic treatment but at the time it represented a huge step for me.

Most importantly it was during this period that I realised that I love designing magazines, and that it was something that I wanted to do for a long time.

Thank you for appreciating!
