Layouts from my time as the Art Editor at . Digital imaging by Tamara White.
"Beat your body's fat traps" was originally a piece that appeared in US Prevention, but I've changed the design completely for the Australian edition. The piece is about how some people despite exercising quite often, have trouble losing weight. The main reason being that they reward themselves after wards with unhealthy eating. "Hey I just spent half an hour on the treadmill, I deserve to eat a slice of chocolate cake."

The US edition featured an image of a woman on a gym bike, with a sandwich in her hand (this image I moved to the next spread). Instead I thought the opener could use with a more high concept pic and I thought this would grab the reader more.

This is easily one of the best layouts that I've ever done. I love the metaphor that turning the page on the opening spread, is like pulling back the curtains (it's a little easier to see when you turn the actual magazine).
Thank you for appreciating!
