Design Statement
The following video explores the serenity and gracefulness of nature, enriching my creativity and individual taste as a graphic designer.
It exposes the abstract qualities of both nature and materials utilized throughout my practice. In the initial stages the video explores the fluid and sinuous qualities of the ocean. Then transitions to the abstract qualities of the watercolour image. Watercolour medium has developed throughout my design and illustration due to similar sensations and qualities discovered within the natural waters.
The blissful and peaceful sensations endured are also communicated through pertinent filmic thinking and cinematography of close ups and panning. The video reinforces the design qualities I have developed as a graphic designer and my understanding and preference of colour palettes developed through inspirations of the flora.
