Japanese whisky makers Nikka Whisky wanted to advertise one of their iconic blends and we were asked to help them do so.
'From the Barrel' is something as unusal as a cask strenght blend based on malt and grain whisky. What we really wanted to emphasize was the beautiful marriage between the two whiskies and really highlight the blending part. Our result was a series of posters, combining certain elements (somewhat connected to Nikka, their distilleries or Tokyo) to recreate a similar beauty based on a simple blend.
We were also asked to come up with a new line to accompany these visuals and all communication forward. 'New Traditions' seemed edgy enough yet very modern, talking about creating and following new traditions.
