In a compromise of goal setting and realistic achievements, I've opted for a 3x a week project. These could be a single static image, or maybe a 15 second animation. 2 for 2, it's going well so far. Here's to many more!.
Coloured world took a bit of trial and error, starting with the idea of a sphere with displacement, however mapping a texture to gradient over the vertical peaks proved difficult, Plan C was to use a landscape object which quickly became a great success with the "Spherical" option. Paired with a GSG HDRI object and some touch-ups in Photoshop, let the good times roll.
