Inhotim's Gourmet Line

Combining the concepts that are common to Inhotim’s identity and Brazilian/Minas Gerais cuisine, a packaging system was developed to emphasize elements of the local traditions in a contemporary way.

The traditional manner in which grocery stores and greengrocers used to wrap products in paper became the focal point in the characterization of this gourmet line: each product, according to its shape, comes wrapped in newsprint with Inhotim’s typographic pattern.

Considering the size, weight, quantity sold, means of transportation, packaging location (either at the vendor’s or at the store’s premises), the appropriate packaging was conceived taking into account the most economical formats and the exact quantities needed for the annual sales. It was then possible to create a single layout for the paper sheets (96 x 66 cm), which were to be cut in different manners so as to contemplate the diversity of products and, if needed, be adapted to also wrap new products.
