We designed and directed this series of commercial spots for Ford. Predominantly for the Latin market, we focused on the rich and vibrant aesthetics found in traditional Latin culture, and adopted them into a 3D world. The live action was shot over 3 days in Detroit studio.
Look development and pitch process:
These initial 3D sketches were created in 3DsMax, and Maya. This included developed a proceedural weaving tool in Max to create the base geometry for the eye, which was later re-created in Houdini. The Trompos shapes were basic lathed curves to geometry.

Ultimately the project was rendered through Vray in maya.
