This is a reenactment of the action of taking the picture, “New York City, 1966” by Lee Friedlander in a slightly different set up. This work deals with the secretive nature of street photography. This performance was executed in Unnoticed Art Festival

写真家リー・フリードランダーに New York City, 1966 という作品がある。その写真の中でフリードランダー自身の影は女性の背中の上に投影された状態で映っている。そしてそれは、まるで彼がストーカーや隠し撮りをする不審な男のように見える。この写真はストリート写真の秘密的な性質を暴露している作品なのである。

私はパフォーマーに、New York City, 1966 と同じ構造の写真を撮るように指示を与えた。彼はフリードランダーになりきって女性をつけて写真を撮っていたが、結果として不審者として近くにいた人から問いつめられることになった。
