Working prototype of the Jaguar cigar cutter
Since receiving this project brief I had a stereotypicalimage of the common Jaguar S-Type driver, who works as a director of a largecompany and smokes cigars on a casual basis. This frame of thought is thereason I came up with the idea of designing a cigar cutter to meet the designbrief. Once I had this concept on paper I was confident I wanted to develop itinto a marketable product.
Working prototype model
Throughoutthe development of this concept I had played with the final form of the cutter, trying to incorporate high radius curves picking up on the characteristics ofthe jaguar S-Type interior. I feel that the shape I developed fits in nicelywith the interior of the car and wouldn’t look out of place if marketed. Theother benefit of choosing this shape is that it can fit perfectly into the cupholder, and this would not have been the case with some of my other designs.
