Design aninnovative product for the growing elderly demographic which aides openinglocks with a key. The product should be manufactured relatively cheaply so itcan be sold for under £10. This widens the potential market as the price comesinside our clients’ disposable income. Takeinto consideration how difficult it can be to find the lock with the key due tothe size of the lock, as well as the problems occurred when dark. .
Lockator model created in Solidworks
The Lockator is a small injection moulded device which fixes to your front door and assists the user to locate their key in the key whole.
The Lockator has a glowing ring around the circumference which illuminates the key whole throughout the night. This project is designed to fit to standard Yale locks but their is potential to develop a range of Lockators for other lock types.
