DESIGN BRIEF AND PHILOSOPHY
My personal website was to be designed around my core ideas of design, photography and visual composition.
One of the greatest influencers on my design thinking has been the master architect Mies Van der Rohe. His principles of minimalism are what my designs gravitate towards. A clean look, without much embellish is my own personal idea of a design done well. The philosophy of the master architect Frank Lloyd Wright - form follows function - often forms the basic skeleton and structure of my designs. The clean strokes and geometry in the designs of both these master architects finds its way in many of my designs, in one form or the other.
The colors of the website were chosen for impact - to make the colors of my photographs stand out. Color in the website design itself was to take a backseat and act as a mere frame for the photographs. A simple black and white scheme with highights in yellow was found to be a best fit.
The typefaces were chosen to keep as close to my own handwriting and architectural lettering as possible.
To add an element of surprise, movement and dynamics, parallax scrolling was added to certain pages.
