the task:
Featy is an outdoor functional training service for kids and adults, based in Barcelona, Spain. They provide individual/small group training and hiking day trips. The target group is people who want to spend time outside and have personal instruction, fully adapted to their needs without comparing themselves to others. The challenge was to create a unisex visual identity, appealing to both children and adults. As the focus is on outdoor activities, the idea was to include symbols of nature and good mood. The danger was to not be associated with yoga schools that also offer classes on the beach or in parks.


the approach:
The design is based on the brand hero: a sporty sun that appears in various sports poses and with or without accessories. The simplified, geometric shape works for both younger and older consumers. It is smiling, providing a positive approach to sports and reminding about enjoying time ouside. In the logo itself, the sun is only a small element to keep the focus on the name of the brand, but in the visual communication, it works as hero, especially when talking about offers dedicated for children. Creating a brand hero enables to have a strong symbol, easily remembered and used across all channels. The chosen colors are green and yellow: unisex colors symbolizing the sun and nature.
