If you live in the UK, your everyday life has been affected by a strike in 2023 - NHS nurses, ambulance drivers, Royal Mail workers, school teachers, university staff, border force officers, train drivers, civil servants, all striking for better pay and conditions.
With a cost of living crisis, and salaries remaining below inflation for years, workers have finally had enough. Sure, It’s inconvenient and annoying, but It’s important to remember that people don’t strike for a giggle and a day off - when you lose a day’s pay for every day you strike, striking is always a last resort.
