Ralph Lauren F/W 2015
A capsule collection developed for Ralph Lauren Womenswear F/W 2015. The concept behind the capsule is designing for the woman who likes to travel alone and has a feeling of beyond the society. Going on a solo trip is a big challenge for most of the people. I came to the United States alone at the age of 16. Being away from family and growing up in a foreign country allowed me to have a very strong feeling for a solo trip. Cocoon shapes are repeated in the collection because the protective and wrapped around feeling can be interpreted by them. Everyone’s life is a solo trip, and there are numerous roads to go in life. The designs show strong mysterious and independence of a woman. I have to make a statement for this collection "Women are strong and women live on their own."
