ON THE STATES OF MATTER — BOOK COVER COLLECTION
I was given the prompt of designing three book covers (free themed) that would all be a part of a same collection. Seeking to answer this brief, I found interesting the possibility of representing the three generally best know states of matter — Solid, Liquid & Gas.
As we learned in science class, all matter that surrounds us and makes up the entirety of the universe is made of small particles. These particles are connected between themselves and always in constant movement, some faster, some slower, depending on the temperature. This energy, combined with the way they organize, is what distinguishes the several states of matter and the main concept base I used to create a visual representation for each design.
