I was asked to create the brand identity for a start up company called Adore Chores.com. Adore Chores Is a website you can visit to find a professional services person for your home. For example, Gardeners, Repair Men, Cleaners, etc.

For the design of the logo I wanted to bring across the love for the home. The warm, cosy feel you have when you think of your home. I also wanted to bring across a professional service that would take care of your home and make you happy.
These are the initial development ideas for the logo design:
This is the result of my development:

The shape of the logo was created to look like a house to further inform the viewer about what the brand is about (services for your home). I played on the adoration and love for your home by including a heart shape for the letter 'O' in adore. In addition, this shows a caring service from the company.

I chose a simple sans serif font to represent the easy use of the website and to emphasise how easy it is to find a really good professional services person for the job you require on your house.

The orange colour was chosen to emphasise the warm, happy and cosy feeling you get when you think about your house. It also brings across the feeling of a great service that you will be happy with.

There is also a version of the logo with the strapline involved (see below). The 'we'll take care of it' really sums up what the brand is about in a few words, and further emphasises the good service.
Below is another element that the logo can become. They are icons which could be used once the brand is more well known. They could also be used for other platforms including an app icon, etc.
Another element of the logo that can be used on other platforms include the text only version below:
This is a mock up of the logo onto a similar services website. Just to show how the logo could look in situ:
