The Degree Show of Department of Architecture and Division of Landscape Architecture, The University of Hong Kong, was held in Knowles Building, from June to July 2022.
The key visual for the 2022 show is deeply inspired by metaverse — a controversial concept whether you merely treat as a sweet escape from the reality or a genuinely optimistic view towards our future.
The visual metaphors the undefined boundary between the physical and the virtual, the universe and the metaverse, the world as a singular entity and the world as a multiple of states. For the graduates summarizing their studies and showcasing their capstone projects in the show, starting their next stages, the visual encapsulates the unprecedented world awaiting, with uncertainties and unidentified notions, where their journey has just begun.
